Animal Planet Happy Family Cards ? Review
As a family we all enjoy a good board game night. Some nights however especially in this gorgeous weather things just get in the way, or the heat means you don?t feel up to one of those marathon games of Monopoly.
It for days like this that card games come in really handy.
Recently we were sent a pack of Animal Planet Happy Families cards from Cartamundi to review, and we?ve been getting lots of use out if them.
We?ve taken them on train journeys, trips to the grandparents, out to Starbucks, and even just plain ?ol played them at home on the sofa
There are 3 different versions of cards in the series ? Coral Reef, Savannah and Jungle.
We?ve been using the Coral pack, and as you would imagine all the animals included can be found in the Coral Reef.
I do remember playing Happy Families with the Butcher and Baker years and years ago, but I don?t remember how?that?ties in with these amazing animals.
The cards are split into 8 different types from A-H, each family has 4 cards.
The object of the game is to collect the most completed families. You do this by asking your fellow player for the cards your missing to complete your sets.
The great thing about these cards is rather than just being lettered from A-H each group is a different type of Coral Reef Creature. One are all Dolphins, and there?s also sharks, turtles and fish.
A nice touch is that each card also has a little bit of info about the animals, which helps prolong the game a bit as you read up and learn some cool facts.
I?d?definitely?recommend?the Animal Planet Happy Families Cards as a game a little different to the norm, which is easy to play and understand for all ages, and can be played,?finished?and put away?relatively?quickly.
